Game of Thrones season 8: 'Isn’t my favourite' Bran Stark SHUTS DOWN Night King theory

Game of Thrones has many threads running through it, and one of the aspects of the show which has been avoided so far is Bran Stark’s (played by Isaac Hempstead-Wright) powers.

Fans will remember Bran received the powers of The Three Eyed Raven some seasons ago, and after that he showcased his new powers by sacrificing Hodor (Kristian Nairn).

And these powers have given Bran the ability to see everything from the past and the future – but this has led to a hugely damning theory for the Stark boy.

Viewers have become convinced Bran will eventually “become” the Night King (Vladimir Furdik) in the final episodes, therefore becoming the enemy the forces of the living have been fighting against for so long.

However Bran actor Isaac has recently explained how he doesn’t like that theory.

Speaking at the show’s premiere in Belfast Isaac candidly told press: “I tell you what isn’t my favourite theory: the Night King one.”

He was later pressed on the issue and eventually continued: “I think he’s the Three-Eyed Raven, who is definitely on the side of the living.”

While the Three Eyed Raven is definitely on the side of the living, he isn’t immune to magical corruption.

Previously Isaac has spoken out about the theory to W Magazine, saying: “People just seem to think it’s happening.

“I can’t see how there have been any clues for it, but it just seems to have really gained traction.”

Isaac ominously added: “But yeah, you’ll have to wait and see.”

It looks like Isaac isn’t the only person with regrets for his character, though, as Jon Snow actor Kit Harington recently spoke out on a HBO video about his character.

He revealed: “If I was to go back in time and give Jon some advice, I would say take it from me, don’t go to the Night’s Watch.

“You are going to go through hell and you will be really scarred by the end of it.

“Go and get on a boat and go to old town, go find a nice wife and a child and set up shop there.”

Obviously if Jon were to do this he would never have become the Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch.

And this means he would also have never met Samwell Tarly (John Bradley) – who would eventually find out his royal heritage.

But would knowing all of the strife he was set for make Jon turn away?

Or would he have continued to take on the troubles he has endured so far in the show?

Game of Thrones season eight continues Sunday on HBO and Sky Atlantic on Monday at 2am.
