Avengers Endgame star Tessa Thompson gives EXCITING Thor 4 update

The 35-year-old first starred in Thor Ragnarok opposite Chris Hemsworth and is now returning for Avengers Endgame after an official character poster revealed Valkyrie is alive. But while Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man and Chris Evans’ Captain America are set to bow out in some way at the end of Endgame, there’s a possibility Thor could be back. In fact, Thompson has revealed that Thor 4 may still happen.

Speaking With LA Times, she said: “I heard that a pitch has happened for [another Thor film].

“I don’t know how real that intel is, but I hear that the pitch has happened. “I think the idea is Taika [Waititi, who directed Ragnarok] would come back.”

Last year Hemsworth revealed how he and Waititi had been throwing ideas around for Thor 4.

Speaking with USA Today, the star revealed: “We gave cheers to Thor 3. But it also was like what could we do with four? We could do this and this. We were throwing ideas around.”

The actor continued: “But also, just to work together again. That was one of the most enjoyable creative partnerships I’ve ever had.

“It just depends on how the Avengers [movies] all wrap up.

“I finished shooting and now they are going to edit it and see how the stories play out. There are so many interwoven scenes and stories and characters.

“[Thor 4] is a conversation for further down the road, if it happens.”

Of course, it really does depend on if Thor survives Avengers Endgame.

And there’s also the issue of both Iron Man and Captain America only having trilogies when they’re arguably bigger characters than Thor.

No doubt news, either way, will arrive at San Diego Comic-Con this summer when the next slate of Marvel movies is expected to be announced.

Avengers Endgame will be released in UK cinemas on April 25.
