As the First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump is often pictured stepping out on official visits. On Monday, she was seen arriving in Fort Bragg, greeting US soldiers. After the outing, the former businesswoman took to Instagram to share a glimpse at the event. It was here that the 48-year-old showed her support for the United State Military, as she expressed her thanks to those who work for it.
A former fashion model, many people are interested in the style choices that Melania makes.
On Monday, she had picked out a garment which is not an uncommon look for the First Lady: a military jacket.
The pale belted drill blazer featured internal shoulder pads and had two large pockets.
The jacket is by Alexa Chung, and sells for £630 via the website Net-A-Porter.
She teamed the look with a pair of camel-toned cigarette trousers.
Melania finished the look with a pair of pointed stiletto high heels.
The following day, she wrote on Instagram: “Great visit yesterday to @FtBraggNC with Second Lady Karen Pence and @secretary_of_the_army Dr. Mark T. Esper.
“The United States Military is a national treasure and I am so grateful to all the hard working men, women and families who serve our great nation. Thank you!”
Melania married Donald Trump, 72, back in 2005.
The couple enjoyed a lavish wedding reception at Donald’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.
It seems that no expense was spared for the star-studded bash, which is thought to have seen 400 guests being catered for by French chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten.
According to reports, the total cost of the celebration came to $2.5 million – which works out at around £1.9 million.
Now, Melania and Donald live in the White House with their son, Barron Trump, 12.
The US President is a father of five, with one of his daughters, Ivanka Trump, serving as an adviser in the Trump administration.
Recently, the topic of whether the former businesswoman, 37, has an amicable relationship with her step-mother, who is 11 years her senior, made headlines.
It came as Ivanka’s mother, Ivana Trump spoke to The Atlantic.
She told the publication: “She likes her fine.”

Languages
Mum-of-one Melania can speak more languages than any other First Lady before her: English, French, German, Italian, Serbian and of course her mother tongue, Slovenian.
This also makes her the only First Lady whose first language is not English.
Religion
After Jacqueline Kennedy, Melania is the second First Lady who is a practising Catholic.
She met Pope Francis as part of a foreign tour with her husband and stepdaughter Ivanka last year.

On May 7 2018, Melania launched her flagship campaign as First Lady, BE BEST, which The White House describes as “an awareness campaign focused entirely around the well-being of children”.
