The One Show was being presented by Matt Baker and Alex Jones this evening.
However, the show didn’t get off to the best start for Matt.
The regular host of the BBC One programme was outside with Alex as they were about to present a segment on dodgeball.
However, it all went awry when he was hit in the face by a ball.
“Oh, in the face!” he shouted after the ball hit him.
He then repeated: “I got one in the face!”
The presenter then proceeded to throw another ball back a whoever had thrown one at him.
Alex then tried to restore some sort of order to the proceeds as she explained what they were doing outside the BBC studios in London.
“Welcome to dodgeball. The idea is to hit someone, but you can catch it,” she said.
“The idea is to hit someone in the face,” joked Matt.
He then added: “I actually thought I’d busted my nose for a second.”
Luckily, Matt was left unscathed by the incident, and he seemed to see the funny side of what had just happened.
He then introduced the members of the brand new Team GB dodgeball squad.
“They’re quite cheeky,” he joked and revealed that they had their first tournament this weekend in Manchester.
“So we’re going to be learning how to duck, dodge, dive and dibble, and all that sort of thing,” he added.
