Avengers Endgame directors drop ENDING bombshell: It's been in the pipeline all along

In what makes perfect sense given how the two films are essentially part of one story, it seems the ending to Avengers: Endgame has been in sight since the very start of the creative process.

Speaking to Collider, Joe and Anthony Russo were asked how difficult it was to draw the entire Marvel Infinity Saga to a close.

“When we were working on both Infinity War and Endgame, the first thing we did was break the ending of Endgame,” Joe said.

“We wanted to know where we were going – it’s very hard to tell a story if you don’t know where you’re going.

“We have a very specific process with [Christopher] Markus and [Stephen] McFeely where we spend months in the room talking about a three-page outline.

“Page one is act one, page two is act two and page three is act three.

“You have to know in a contained document like that – ‘here’s where we start, here’s what happens in the middle, here’s what happens in the end’.

“If you know that, it’s a lot easier to get into the script.”

In a letter posted to Twitter, they said: “Because so many of you have invested your time, your hearts and your souls into these stories, we’re once again asking for your help.

“When you see Endgame in the coming weeks, please don’t spoil it for others, the same way you wouldn’t want it spoiled for you.

“Remember, Thanos still demands your silence.

“As always, good luck and happy viewing. The Russo Brothers.”

Avengers: Endgame is out on April 25 in the UK.
