OnePlus 7 release – New details about this flagship could be revealed TOMORROW

OnePlus 7 is the presumed name for the Chinese tech giant’s newest flagship handset that has been tipped to introduce myriad changes to the product line.

The first, and perhaps most controversial of these, has been said to be the implementation of a pop-up selfie camera.

Such an aesthetic has already been seen on hardware from OPPO and Vivo.

Alleged renders of the OnePlus 7 surfaced back in March courtesy of Pricebaba and OnLeaks.

The hardware was shown with an almost completely all-screen design that appeared to be made possible because of the new selfie sensor placement.

Additionally, the claimed OnePlus 7 was also displayed with a triple-camera system on its rear.

This suggests the Shenzhen-based firm could be planning a notable photography upgrade for fans.

The newest rumours surrounding the OnePlus 7 have come via teenage tipster Ishan Agarwal that has claimed the OnePlus 7 will be available in three models.

If true, such a move would break for OnePlus tradition; the tech firm has typically only released one version of its flagship at a time, even if they are available in different RAM and storage variants.

Agarwal has claimed in addition to the standard OnePlus 7, two other devices dubbed the “OnePlus 7 Pro” and “OnePlus 7 Pro 5G” will also debut.

The leaker also posted supposed images of the OnePlus 7 Pro on his Twitter account that originally surfaced on Chinese site Weibo.

The photos in question showed the claimed hardware with a curved display and appeared to out some of its specifications.

OnePlus 7 Pro was said to come with a 6.67-inch Super Optic display, a triple camera system and a Snapdragon 855 under its hood.

The Chinese device’s photography array was stated to be comprised of a 48-megapixel, 16-megapixel and an 8-megapixel sensor.

Agarwal has also insisted OnePlus’ newest flagship will release on May 14 and have the slogan “Go Beyond Speed”.

Although the new hardware has been speculated to release next month, it appears details about it may be coming sooner.

That is because OnePlus founder and CEO, Pete Lau, recently took to Twitter and teased an announcement for tomorrow, April 17.

He said: “I know you guys are stoked to hear about the new device – check back to see my post this Wednesday.”

It is worth noting in his tweet Lau did not specifically mention the OnePlus 7, instead only referring to “the new device”.

That means while it is highly likely the CEO will discuss the forthcoming flagship tomorrow, it is not guaranteed.
