New iPhone 11 could bring two huge upgrades for Apple fans

Apple is expectedly hard at work on its next flagship that is presumed, but not confirmed, to be called the iPhone 11.

The American tech company traditionally unveils its next line of smartphones during or near the month of September and it is anticipated the iPhone 11 will debut around this time of year in 2019.

Although the device’s expected debut is still months away, rumours have already tipped the hardware to come with three cameras on its rear instead of the two offered by its predecessor, the iPhone Xs.

In fact, alleged renders of an iPhone 11 prototype surfaced back in January courtesy of OnLeaks and Digit.in.

The hardware was shown with a triple-camera system on its rear, suggesting Apple could present fans with a noticeable camera upgrade over the iPhone Xs.

It is unclear what the purpose of the added sensor could be.

The housing of the lens trio looked similar, but not completely identical, to that already offered by the Huawei Mate 20 Pro.

Unlike the iPhone Xs and Xs Max that stack their respective dual-camera systems vertically, the iPhone 11 was shown to place them in a triangle shape within the camera housing.

The design for the iPhone 11 was said to be accurate by renowned tipster Ice Universe.

While they have not discussed what the device could look like, both Bloomberg and The Wall Street Journal have also claimed at least one model of the iPhone 11 will flaunt three cameras on its rear, citing sources familiar with the matter.

A new leak for the iPhone 11 comes by way of Macotakara that has similarly claimed Apple’s next flagship smartphone will come with a trio of lenses.

In particular, the outlet claimed two models of the iPhone 11 will come with such a camera setup.

This suggests if Apple does release a new version of the iPhone XR later this year, it could come with a photography offering that is not as capable.

While Macotakara was eager to discuss the camera improvements for Apple’s next device, it also declared the successor to the iPhone Xs in particular will also receive a noticeable bump in screen real estate.

The outlet insisted the iPhone 11 will come with a 6.1-inch display while the presumably-titled iPhone 11 Max will flaunt the same 6.5-inch OLED screen as its predecessor.

If such a rumour is true it means the iPhone 11 could come with the same-sized panel as currently offered by the iPhone XR.

For reference, Apple’s current iPhone Xs comes with a 5.8-inch display.

Macotakara also insisted the iPhone 11 will be “approximately” 0.15 millimetres thinner than its predecessor and the iPhone 11 Max will be 0.4 millimetres thinner than the iPhone Xs Max.

While the Japanese site was eager to provide Apple fans with claimed details about the firm’s next phone lineup, it is worth noting nothing about new iPhones has been officially confirmed by Apple.

Instead it is expected the tech behemoth will wait until later this year to discuss such a topic.
