Mississippi tornado: 90million AT RISK as DEADLY storm ravages US – ’TAKE COVER NOW!’

At least four people are dead after 14 tornadoes hit communities from eastern Texas to Mississippi, with the local area “looking like a war zone”. The deadly storm is now barrelling eastwards and is set to strike heavily populated cities, leaving 90million people at risk. “Heavy rainfall may hide this tornado. Do not wait to see or hear the tornado. Take cover now,” the National Weather Service said.

“Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.

“Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.

“Tree damage is likely.”

Two children, aged just three and eight, were crushed to death on Saturday after a tree toppled onto the back of their family car in Lufkin, Angelina County.

Trees and power lines were knocked over and parts of buildings were left hanging across utility lines in Troy.

About 65,000 homes and businesses are without power in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.

WCBI meteorologist Jacob Dickey said: “These are the worst nights as a meteorologist.

“I have seen things I would hope to never see again.

“Pray for Monroe County.”

One person was reported dead in Monroe County, Mississippi as a tornado ripped through Hamilton, about 45 miles northeast of the campus of Mississippi State University.

Monroe County Road Manager Sonny Clay said a further 19 people have been injured.

Franklin, Texas, was the victim of a large preliminary EF-3 tornado which caused winds of 140mph to devastate the town, causing significant damage.

Robertson County officials said 55 homes, one church, four businesses, a duplex and part of the local housing authority were destroyed by the tornado.

The south side of Franklin was “totally destroyed,” County Judge Charles Ellison declared.

Debris covering roads stopped emergency crews from reaching more isolated areas.

Around 30 people who escaped the tornado without injuries are now staying at a shelter.

More than a dozen people were left injured, but there was no fatalities in Robertson County.

More than a dozen people were injured in Alto, Texas, when a tornado damaged a gym and school.

Vicksburg, Mississippi, was also affected by a tornado.

The onslaught will continue until the end of the weekend with areas including Ohio, Pennsylvania and southern New York to northern Florida at risk.
