PS Plus Free Game WARNING: The new PS4 downloads you don’t want to miss

We are now heading toward the halfway point for the month of April, meaning there is still plenty of time to claim those PS Plus free games for April.

The downside is that we won’t be hearing anything more from Sony PlayStation about what is coming next on PS4 for a while.

The company usually share these big reveals for near the end of the month; however, there are plenty of alternative games you may want to check out.

A new demo has been released this week for Gladiator: Blades of Fury, however, there aren’t many reviews for the combat action game.

And the ones that have been posted online don’t paint it in the best light, so it will be up to you if you want to check it via the PlayStation Store demo.

If you were looking for a full game download that requires a PS Plus account, then Path of Exile might be a better choice.

Developed by Grinding Gear Games, the new Action / Role Playing experience has only been available on the PS4 for a few weeks.

However, Path of Exile has been a popular free-to-play title on PC for some time and has built a substantial following on Steam and Xbox One.

DOWNLOAD PATH OF EXILE FREE

The game can be downloaded right now from the PlayStation Store at no charge; however, access to multiplayer does require PS Plus.

There are plans afoot to make sure the console versions of the game stay in step with PC, with more content being released in the future.

Since it was launched earlier this year, Path of Exile has received seven positive reviews on Metacritic, along with two mixed and three negative.

The game weighs in at just under 10GB, making it a pretty easy one to fit on your hard drive.

It has an age rating of 17+ and has support for several different languages, including English.

The other perk from having a PS Plus account is getting free loot for certain games, with Path of Exile no exception.

If you do decide to download it, you can also add a cosmetic bundle to the game for free on PS4.

The special PS Plus bundle includes an Infernal Skull helmet skin and a Fire Frog pet, so nothing beyond a cosmetic offering.

It should also be noted that a special PlayStation Plus deal is currently available for Amazon UK.

A 25% off deal can be found on the online retailer site, putting the price of a 12-month subscription at 37.49.

The only catch is that the deal will only be available for a certain amount of time, meaning it will end later today, April 12.

For those in the market for something a little different, here’s a few free-to-play options you may have forgotten about.

Sports fans can still download PES 2019 LITE, ahead of the next big demo being released from Konami.

The free-to-play version requires a PS Plus account for online multiplayer and doesn’t have all the same features as the store bought Pro Evo.

PES 2019 LITE includes the Online myClub and PES LEAGUE Mode, as well as the Offline Exhibition Match and Training Mode.

Those who are after a little more carnage may want to check out Crossout on PS4. The MMO has been available for a few years on consoles and has built a good review score on the PlayStation Store.

After 25,000 ratings online, Crossout has an average score of ⅘ and allows PSN gamers to build their dream post-apocalyptic driving machine.

Crossout continues to receive updates from developers Gaijin Networks and weighs in at under 5GB to download.
