OnePlus 7 could have two huge surprises in store for Android fans

OnePlus 7 is the presumed name for the OnePlus 6T’s successor and has been rumoured to make a number of substantial changes to the product line.

Chief of these has been tipped to be the addition of a pop-up selfie camera that will emerge from the top of the device.

Claimed renders of the handset showcasing such a design characteristic emerged last month courtesy of Pricebaba and OnLeaks.

In exchange for what is sure to be a controversial design choice amongst Android fans, the OnePlus 7 was shown boasting an all-screen design with no notch at its top.

In an article discussing the renders, Pricebaba stated the OnePlus 7 will have a 6.5-inch display, be powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 855 chipset and have a huge 4,150mAh battery.

It is also worth noting the alleged renders of the OnePlus 7 showed it with a triple-camera system on its rear, suggesting the Chinese tech giant could be planning to deliver a huge photography upgrade for fans.

While the all-screen design and spec sheet rumoured for the OnePlus 7 will surely be incredibly enticing for Android fans, it appears the new flagship could have two huge surprises in store.

Notable leaker Ishan Agarwal recently took to Twitter and posted the claimed model numbers for each OnePlus 7 variant coming.

He stated in addition to the standard OnePlus 7, two other models of the device will also be offered dubbed the OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 Pro 5G respectively.

Two images of the claimed OnePlus 7 Pro recently appeared on Weibo and seemingly outed some of its specs.

The device was stated to come with a 6.67-inch “super optic” panel and have a triple-camera system comprised of a 48-megapixel, 16-megapixel and an 8-megapixel sensor.

One of the photos in particular showed the display on the OnePlus 7 Pro to be curved on its sides.

Additionally, it was stated the Snapdragon 855 processor inside was accompanied by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage in the particular variant shown.

Although not confirmed, it is assumed the 5G version of the OnePlus 7 Pro will come with an extremely similar design and feature set to the standard OnePlus 7 Pro but will have the added ability of delivering faster internet speeds.

While Agarwal was eager to detail the three models of the OnePlus 7, he did not discuss whether they will all release at the same time or not.
