Star Wars Celebration 2019: Events, poster, panels, and guests – all you need to know

Star Wars Episode 9 is still eight months away from its debut in cinemas. The 2019 Star Wars celebration, which began today, features Star Wars news from all of its vehicles – from animated series to theme parks. What panels are taking place at Star Wars Celebration 2019?

There are hundreds of panels, sales, events, and photo ops taking place but these are the ones fans are most excited about.

The Episode 9 panel is perhaps the most anticipated of this year’s Celebration and takes place on April 12 at 5pm BST (11am Central time).

The Galaxy-Wide Premiere of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 6.30pm to 7.30pm on Saturday, April 13, 2019.

The Mandalorian from 5pm to 6pm on Sunday, April 14, 2019.

Who will be attending Star Wars Celebration?

The list of actors, producers, designers, and more is expansive.

But some key people in attendance are Kathleen Kennedy, Lucasfilm boss, and JJ Abrams, Episode 9 director.

The pair are the only confirmed guests for the Episode 9 panel.

However, Billy Dee Williams who reprised the role of Lando Calrissian for Episode 9 will be at the celebration and may make a surprise appearance.

There are plenty of other exciting names on the guest list for the five-day event.

They include Peter Mayhew (original Chewbacca), Joonas Suotamo (contemporary Chewbacca), Ray Park (Darth Maul), Alan Tudyk (K-2SO), Riz Ahmed (Bodhi Rook), Forest Whitaker (Saw Gerrera), Paul Bettany (Dryden Vos) and Erin Kellyman (Enfys Nest).

The main Celebration stage will be hosted by Warwick Davis who has been in four Star Wars movies and six episodes of the animated series.

Voice actors from the animated series will also be there, including Freddie Prinze Jr (Kanan Jarrus).

The poster features many of the familiar faces from the decades of Star Wars storytelling.

Its aesthetic is decidedly retro and has characters from the prequel and sequel joining the originals.
