Mate 20 Pro update – If new Huawei phone looks this good its rivals should be terrified

Huawei Mate 20 Pro took the smartphone market by storm when it released last year thanks to its legion of compelling and innovative features.

The device has one of the best camera systems around thanks to its main, telephoto and ultra wide-angle module that combine to provide Android fans with an incredibly diverse photography experience.

Mate 20 Pro does not rely solely on its cameras to achieve greatness, instead the hardware also comes with a huge 4,200mAh battery that easily powers the phone through an entire day of intense usage.

Additionally, the hardware also delivers rapid performance thanks to Huawei’s own Kirin 980 chip that is housed under its hood.

Because the Mate 20 Pro was critically acclaimed by fans and media alike, its successor is highly anticipated.

Not much is known about Huawei’s presumably-titled Mate 30 Pro device.

However, YouTube channel Science and Knowledge has recently put together a concept video of the flagship that looks incredibly tantalising.

The Mate 30 Pro was shown touting an all-screen design with its front-facing camera system punched through the display, similar to that is present on the standard Galaxy S10 and S10e.

However, the hole within the panel itself was shown to be noticeably smaller than on Samsung’s offering.

Mate 30 Pro was also shown to feature a curved display, as is already present on the Mate 20 Pro.

Bezels on the Huawei handset were shown to be virtually non-existent.

On its rear, the Mate 30 Pro was presented as having a whopping five cameras.

Unlike the Mate 20 Pro that positioned its cameras in a square housing, the Mate 30 pro was shown with its quintuple-lens system stacked horizontally next to its flash.

It is presumed Science and Knowledge’s video is displaying the forthcoming flagship with a main, telephoto, ultra wide-angle and time-of-flight (TOF) sensor.

However, it is unknown what the function of the fifth lens in the concept video could be.

The footage showed the Mate 30 Pro in black, cherry pink and Huawei’s signature Twilight colour variant.

Huawei Mate 20 Pro was revealed at an event in October and it is expected its successor will be unveiled at around the same time of year in 2019.

The Chinese tech giant most recently released the newest version of its P-series device, the P30 Pro.

We were full of praise for the device at Express.co.uk, especially with regard to its incredible camera system.
