Bobby Davro: Actor ‘kicked and battered’ in car park in 'row' while with ex-wife Trudi

Bobby Davro, 60, claims he was kicked to the ground and punched in the stomach following a business lunch on Monday evening. The comedian and TV star was outside The Ivy Brasserie in Cobham, Surrey, when ex Trudi Jameson, 49, came to pick him up. The former model reportedly got into a verbal altercation with a local woman but when the star attempted to step in – the unknown woman’s male partner also intervened. Speaking to The Sun, Bobby said: “The two women bumped into each other and were having words when this very aggressive character took things way too far and we ended up pushing and shoving.

“I tried to trip him up because I thought he was about to headbutt me but he managed to knock me down and kicked me in the stomach.”

He continued: “I was winded. It was a dangerous, cowardly thing to do and my ex panicked and called the police — it was ridiculous.

“I have no idea why it all blew up.”

In a statement, Surrey Police said: “The suspect and victim accepted a community resolution outcome and the matter is closed.”

Bobby and Trudi were married for 10 years before they divorced in 2003, and they share three children together.

Speaking about his relationship with former spouse, the performer admitted he was doing it for “sake of his kids”.

He told the publication: “I only have a relationship with my ex-wife for the sake of my kids and still can’t believe I got caught up in one of her rows.”

Meanwhile, the TV star found fame in the 1980s before starring in EastEnders, Dancing On Ice and Celebrity Come Dine With Me.

His popularity was at its highest during the mid-1980s with his own Saturday night ITV shows, Bobby Davro on the Box, Bobby Davro’s TV Annual and Bobby Davro’s TV Weekly.

He also made appearances on the popular comedy impressions sketch show Copy Cats.

In the 1990s, Bobby appeared on television shows such as Public Enemy Number One and the talent show The Heat Is On.

The actor has also appeared in several pantomimes over the years.

He is currently on a nationwide Easter panto tour playing Smee in Peter Pan.

Bobby recently posted a Twitter message about his new stage play and wrote in view of his Twitter 29,200 followers: “Tech days are long days but the panto is looking great.

“Lots of new comedy stuff and God help the woman who we drag onto the stage and dress up as a Pirate! You have been warned!

“Opening show 6pm tonight Get along if you can you’re guaranteed to have a good old belly laugh.”
