Arya Stark plot LEAK: What will happen to Arya Stark in season 8? Will she kill Cersei?

What will happen to Arya Stark in Game of Thrones season 8?

WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Game of Thrones seasons 1-7.

Arya Stark’s time in season eight is bound to be filled with plenty of drama, especially if the Game of Thrones trailer is anything to go by.

Game of Thrones’ promo for season eight shows Arya running from a mystery assailant with blood pouring down her face.

The identity of who she’s running from isn’t revealed but there are a number of theories suggesting who it may be.

One potential spoiler could see Arya running from a wight or the Night King (Vladimir Furdik) himself.

In a darker turn of events, it’s been suggested Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley) is the one following Arya following her resurrection by a White Walker.

WILL GAME OF THRONES SEASON 8 BE ON NETFLIX?

Fans will have to tune in to all six episodes of Game of Thrones season eight to find out who Arya’s running from.

Game of Thrones drama doesn’t stop there for Arya, however, with plenty of other storylines tipped to head her way.

Season seven welcomed back Joe Dempsie as Gendry to the cast.

Gendry and Arya had enjoyed a close relationship in the first few seasons of Game of Thrones, with the pair protecting one another as they escaped the Lannisters.

With Gendry’s return confirmed for another season in the Game of Thrones promos, several GOT fans think the pair may be set for romance.

However, Dempsie has suggested it would make him feel “uncomfortable” in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

Arya may have bigger problems to deal with than striking up a romantic relationship in season eight.

Case in point, completing her kill list and murdering Cersei Lannister.

WHAT ARE THE GAME OF THRONES SEASON 8 EPISODE TITLES?

Cersei and her family were responsible for the deaths of pretty much all of the Starks, bar Arya and her surviving siblings.

Arya had, therefore, vowed to kill the current queen but was sidetracked in season seven after discovering Jon Snow (Kit Harington) had secured Winterfell from the Boltons.

In season eight, however, Arya’s hatred for Cersei will undoubtedly be reignited when she discovers the truth about the queen’s betrayal of Jon and Daenerys.

The pregnant Cersei is already in a vulnerable position following the abandonment from her brother  Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau).

And with Cersei already heavily tipped to die by numerous bookmakers, it could be Arya to deliver the fatal blow.

HOW TO WATCH GAME OF THRONES SEASON 8, EPISODE 1 ONLINE

Before online message boards could be set alight by Game of Thrones fans in shock at the spoiler, Williams and Fallon revealed it was an April’s Fools joke.

Nevertheless, it left many viewers thinking there may be some truth to Williams’ statement.

Williams further added to speculation Arya could die in a clip released by HBO in the week before episode one’s air date.

In a segment titled ‘The Cast Never Forget’, Williams discussed her feelings about departing the series.

The Arya Stark actress said: “I’m 100 percent going to miss her. I’m still not done with mourning her, we can’t talk about it, I’m going to cry.”

It didn’t take long for fans to pick up on Williams’ phrasing, with one fan replying: “She’s not done with mourning?… Game of Thrones killing us a bit every day.”

To find out what exactly is in store for Arya, UK fans will have to tune in to Sky Atlantic every Monday, while those in the USA can watch on HBO every Sunday.

Game of Thrones season 8 premieres on HBO in the USA on Sunday, April 14, and on Sky Atlantic in the UK on Monday, April 15.
