Tom Jones affair SHOCK: How Sir Tom had first affair just THREE YEARS after wedding

Sex Bomb legend, Sir Tom Jones has opened up about the heartbreak he felt following the death of his late wife, Linda more than once. He said he would “never love again” after she died following a battle with lung cancer in 2016. While the singer was without doubt besotted with his childhood sweetheart, who he married at just 16, it’s been revealed that he had an affair just a few years into their marriage. Tom has admitted to sleeping with 250 women a year at the height of his career and while his long-suffering wife Linda, known affectionately as “Lady Linda” may be “the only woman for him” it didn’t stop him from playing the field throughout their 59-year marriage.

The pair were childhood sweethearts and tied the knot in 1957 when Linda was just 16.

Linda was the mother of their only child, Mark Woodward, and she and Tom stayed together until her death in 2016.

Some of Tom’s more famous affairs were known about at the time, including his relationship with Supremes singer Mary Wilson in the late 60s.

But it’s now been revealed he first cheated on Linda just three years into their marriage.

Tom was introduced to the world as a 22-year-old, single miner – when in fact he was a 27-year-old, married dad of one.

The singer assumed the role of sex symbol to a tee and it did wonders for his career – he even used to boast about female fans throwing their knickers at him.

But the unfaithful liaisons were happening long before Tom was even famous, it has now been revealed.

Sean Smith’s biography of Tom Jones talks about a woman the singer new before he was a global success.

He claims a local girl named Gill Beazer tells a story of going to watch Tom sing with his band, the Senators, and of Tom dedicating songs to her from the stage.

The book claims they had a two-year romance which started in 1960 – just three years after Tom married Linda.

Gill, who was 15 when she met Tom aged 20, said the pair never slept together but that they would kiss and cuddle and she considered him her boyfriend.

She recalled being shocked when after a few dates she bumped into him in Pontypridd, walking around town with his toddler son.

“From the very beginning, he was not exactly Mr Faithful,” biographer Smith told the Mail Online.

The Voice UK judge maintains he and Linda had a “don’t ask” policy about his activities on tour in the late 60s.

But sources close to the couple recall Linda’s heartache over her husband’s relentless infidelity.

She even took a taxi to confront him in Bournemouth once when she knew he was staying with Supremes singer Mary Wilson.

Tom found out Linda was coming and managed to hide all traces of Mary before she arrived.

But Tom’s road manager at the time, Chris Ellis, recalled seeing Linda breakdown in tears the following morning.

“When I think of that b**** lying on these sheets!” she exclaimed as she wept.

Linda snubbed most of Tom’s concerts and refused to accompany him on tour after 2003.

She spent most of her days in their Beverley Hills mansion while Tom travelled the globe performing.
