PS Plus April UPDATE: New PS4 PlayStation deals and game news

April’s new list of free PS Plus games have been released and can be downloaded from the PlayStation Store, alongside some interesting new discounts.

These new PlayStation Plus deals were released by Sony earlier this week and are available to those with an active subscription.

The official PlayStation Spring Sale started a few days ago and include discounts on games that don’t require a PS Plus.

But the best deals have been boosted for subscription owners, with the likes of Marvel’s Spider-Man, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Detroit: Become Human, all seeing bigger reductions.

So while everyone has access to the same game deals, you can save a bit of extra cash with your PlayStation Plus account.

Sony has confirmed that the Spring Sale will be running until May 1 and will see new deals added and other removed during that time.

PlayStation Video is also running some deals as part of the Sale, including discounts on Deadpool 2, John Wick Chapter 2, The Darkest Minds and more.

Along with the new Spring Sale, Sony has also released new titles to stream via their PlayStation Now service.

Ten new games have been added to PS Now, all sourced from the PS4 or PS2 eras.

The headliner of the bunch is Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, a title that was made available to download via PS Plus last year.

It’s joined by Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes, as well as another five games from the PS4.

These include Chronicles of Teddy: Harmony of Exidus, WRC 5 Fia World Rally Championship, Shadow Complex Remastered, Shiness: The Lightning Kingdom, and Grand Kingdom.

In terms of new games that can be played on the PS4 for free, Sony recently announced the launch of Path of Exiles.

It doesn’t cost anything to download from the digital store but it does require a PS Plus subscription if you plan to use online multiplayer features.

And fans interested in trying out the new game can also download a special PlayStation Plus bundle for Path of Exiles.

This can be found on the PlayStation Store and adds special items to your game, which are exclusive to PlayStation Plus.

The good news is that these new items are all available to claim alongside the recently released PS Plus titles for April 2019.

The pack contains an Infernal Skull helmet skin and a Fire Frog pet, both of which can be claimed today.

For those who might have missed it, both Conan Exiles and The Surge have been selected for the PlayStation Plus subscription service in April.

It means you can download them and play them for free for as long as you have a PS Plus account.

Even if you cancel your subscription in the future, these titles can be accessed again if you re-activate your account.
