Gemma Atkinson: ‘You’re an a******e’ Strictly star hits out amid pregnancy with Gorka

Dog fighting involves dogs which are “trained to fight and are pitted against each other with the aim of inflicting as much pain and damage as possible,” as quoted by the RSPCA. It is illegal in the UK and those prosecuted could receive a six-month sentence. Former Strictly Come Dancing finalist Gemma Atkinson, 34, a proud owner of two dogs, has hit out at those involved in the illegal events. Taking to her Instagram, she shared a picture of a a pit bull looking up at his owner with the message: “This is the most dangerous animal in the world.

“It is responsible for MILLIONS of deaths every day. By its side, a Pit Bill sits peacefully.”

Gemma shared the post, with the caption: “Saddens me to hear about the amount of illegal dog fighting here in the UK.

“If you are a human, and you take pleasure in seeing these dogs suffer, you’re an a******* and I hope that one day you have the balls to take your issues out on some one who can fight back fairly.

“But then again you wouldn’t dare, because people like you are all cowards.”

Many of Gemma’s 970,000 Instagram fans flocked to her page to comment.

One user wrote: “No such thing as a bad dog, just bad owners.”

A second commented: “Couldn’t agree more, and I think the word a******* isn’t strong enough.”

A third penned: “They’re not even worthy of being called humans.”

Gemma is a proud owner of her adorable pet pooches Norman and Ollie.

Last month, Gemma admitted she “felt bad” as she attempted to train her dogs to sleep outside her bedroom ahead of the couple’s impending baby.

Gorka took to Gemma’s Instagram story to reveal the dog training wasn’t “going well”.

He told her followers: “We are trying to teach the dogs to sleep outside the room for when the baby arrives. It’s not going very well.”

The Strictly Come Dancing professional turned the camera on to Gemma who was cuddling her beloved pets.

She could be heard saying: “You don’t have to sleep outside yet, I feel snide.”

Gemma captioned the post: “Dog mums known the struggle I feel so bad putting them on the landing.”

Her post comes after she hit back at claims her dogs will be pushed aside when the baby arrives.

Amid wishing her dog Norman a happy 7th birthday, she wrote: “Thank you for being the best companion I could ask for.

“Always making me feel happy and loved and expecting only love in return.

“You and Ollie mean so much to me (and if 1 more negative Nancy tells me you’ll have to be ‘cast aside’ when our baby comes I’ll have to just t**t them!) We’re a pack.

“A family. And I can’t imagine my life without you both in it.”
