Liverpool paid MASSIVE £43.7m to agents this season… but where did your club rank?

The Reds made a number of signings last summer including Alisson, Naby Keita, Xherdan Shaqiri and Fabinho.

And their agents took a large chunk of money from the club in the process.

In total Premier League clubs paid over £260m to agents and will hold a meeting today about how to get that number down.

“It’s a phenomenal amount of money that is going out of the game and into agents’ pockets,” former FA chairman Greg Dyke told The Times.

“The real issue is that the agents are getting it from both sides — they represent the clubs and the players in the same transaction.

“The whole system is out of control and has been for years, and it is getting worse because the numbers are getting higher.”

Everton, West Ham and Leicester paid more to agents than Arsenal and Tottenham.

Watford rounded out the top 10 in terms of agent fees in the Premier League.

The team who paid the lowest in agent fees was Cardiff who spent just £2.8m.

Burnley were 19th and relegated Huddersfield were 18th.

Fulham signed a raft of players which meant spending £8.2m on agent fees but it couldn’t save them from a poor Premier League season.

The agent feels also cover new contracts and loan deals.
