EastEnders spoilers: Lola Pearce drops big clue about Ben Mitchell's secret plan?

Ben (played by Max Bowden) and Lola (Danielle Harold) returned to Walford earlier this week on EastEnders and they’ve been acting shady ever since.

Tension between the pair were heightened tonight on the BBC soap as Ben was worried Lola had made a big slip-up.

Denise Fox (Diane Parish) asked Lola if she’d like to join her new business endeavour as she, Kim (Tameka Empson) and Mitch (Roger Griffiths) set up a salon and barbershop.

However, Lola turned the offer down saying she wasn’t doing hairdressing any more and that she had enough on her plate with looking after her daughter Lexi.

Ben was clearly quietly angry as he glared at Lola as he sat next to her in the cafe.

Later on, Ben confronted Lola about what had gone on with Denise and their conversation was very revealing.

“What was that all about?” he asked her.

Lola was quick to dismiss him as she replied: “Just leave it, alright.”

“Denise is going to think that was well weird,” Ben insisted.

Lola hit back: “I don’t care.”

“What if my dad starts wondering why you’re turning down work?” he questioned.

To which Lola vented: “I’m doing this, I’m doing what you ask. That doesn’t mean I’m going to stitch up mates like Denise, promising her stuff and then leave her in the lurch like that.”

“Okay. alright,” Ben sighed.

Lola’s comments appeared to allude to the fact the pair might not be sticking around long.

Are they preparing to do a runner from the Square?

It comes after Ben told Phil he wanted to go into business together and amp up their money laundering empire.

So perhaps he’s looking to fleece his old man out of their ill-gotten gains and do another disappearing act along with Lola and Lexi.

However, it’s clear Lola might be the one to let slip what they’re really up to.

She’s close to her Pops, Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) and could be reluctant to leave him again.

Yesterday’s episode also saw Ben burst into an angry rage showing off his very nasty side.

Will he end up doing some harm?

EastEnders continues Monday at 8pm on BBC One.
