WrestleMania: Will Kofi Kingston beat Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship?

Kingston has taken WWE by storm with his stunning underdog story as he overcame tremendous odds to become the No1 Contender for the WWE Championship.

The Dreadlocked Dynamo defeated Sheamus, Cesaro, US Champion Samoa Joe, Rowan and Randy Orton on the same night

His New Day partners Big E as well as Xavier Woods also had to undergo a Gauntlet Match to earn him his title shot.

A huge chunk of the WWE Universe want to see the ex-Intercontinental Champion win his first world title after 11 years of hard work in Vince McMahon’s promotion.

However, according to Ringside News, Brad Shepard said on the Oh, You Didn’t Know podcast that Bryan may be pencilled down to win this bout.

However, just like every other match in WWE, everything is subject to change and fans may get their wish at Mania.

Shepard said: “Yeah I have historically had Daniel Bryan [to win] because I was told he was still planned to win.

“Obviously as we approach closer in time with the story they’re telling it would seem there is a possibility that Kofi Kingston could win the match.

“Obviously the final decision will be made the day of the show itself — WrestleMania.

“So it really is a toss-up.”

Kingston’s underdog story started prior to Elimination Chamber when he put together another incredible performance in a Gauntlet Match, which he almost won.

The ex-US Champion then finished as the runner-up at the Elimination Chamber Match and came close to dethroning Bryan.

After that his title hopes kept being sabotaged by WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon who didn’t rate him enough as a legit title contender.

However, Kingston and his New Day partners proved The Chairman wrong and are now going to WrestleMania.

Bryan became WWE Champion late last year when he defeated AJ Styles and turned heel.
