Avengers 4 Endgame 'DESTRUCTION': The ending 'will CHANGE Marvel universe forever'

If fans thought Infinity War was traumatic, they should brace themselves for the final film in the epic cycle. It’s hard to imagine what could be worse than half of all life being wiped out across the universe. A new revelation promises what is about to happen will change the Marvel Cinematic Universe forever. The ominous word “destruction” was used more than once.

The Russos have been building this story arc since Captain America Winter Soldier.

Anthony Russo gave a new interview where he revealed all their films have one major and harrowing themes at their core. He said: “Every one of our MCU movies has ended with a very big swing in terms of what happens to the characters and what it does to the MCU.”

The director stressed how they always try and make audiences “cry” and feel “scared” and Endgame will be the climax of all that: “If you look at the end of these movies there’s something big and consequential happening, and we think that’s important to building a great story [and] a memorable story. So there will be things that excite audiences and thrill audiences in this movie, and there will also be things that will challenge them, and I think that’s why people come to these films.

Russo added: “Winter Soldier ended with the revelation that S.H.I.E.L.D. was corrupt and the destruction of S.H.I.E.L.D.

“Civil War ended with the divorce of the Avengers from one another and the destruction of the relationship between Tony and Steve.

“Infinity War ended in the destruction of half the universe.”

There’s a clear pattern and the word “destruction” surely points to a shattering end to Avengers 4. Fans already know it will mark the completion of the first three Phases of the MCU but how much will be destroyed permanently?

The Russos have repeatedly stressed that the deaths in Infinity war were “real.” Fans know characters like Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Guardians of the Galaxy and Spider-Man have movies already lining up, so those characters must return somehow.

It will be the most incredible achievement if the Russos find a way to bring back those lost in the Snap but at a terrible cost. Even more incredible is the fact that nobody has a clear idea of how they will do it.
