Steph Curry, Kevin Durant and Draymond Green FINED for doing THIS before Nuggets game

The Warriors suffered a 131-130 overtime defeat on Friday night, a result which could have severely affected their season and their post-season schedule.

If the Denver Nuggets had beaten the Houston Rockets on the same night, they would have leap-frogged Golden State into top spot in the NBA Western Conference.

They were beaten 112-85, however, and the Warriors maintained their position at the top.

The controversial moment in the Warriors-Timberwolves came with 4.4 seconds remaining in overtime.

With the Warriors trailing 130-127, Durant fired in a last-gasp three after being inbounded, thus tying the game.

Referee Marat Kogut whistled for an infringement and claimed the foul occurred before the shot was taken.

Curry ended up hitting a three-point shot which tied the game, and he pointed at Kogut as he ran away celebrating.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr disagreed with Kogut’s decision, saying that the act came while the shot was in motion.

“Did I think it was before the shot?” Kerr asked after the game.

“I just watched the replay.

“He caught and he shot – it’s a four-point play.

“I mean, I don’t know what else to say. Kind of mind-boggling.

“You catch and you go up for a shot, and you get fouled in any league – any league – that’s a good bucket and a free throw.

“Any league, not just the NBA.”

The Warriors, who still occupy the first seed in the NBA Western Conference, take on the second-placed Denver Nuggets tonight.

Green was fined $35,000 [£46,000[, Curry $25,000 [£33,000] and Durant $15,000 [£11,421].
