Jasmine Harman: A Place In The Sun presenter struggles behind-the-scenes 'I can't do it'

Jasmine Harman, 43, and Laura Hamilton, 36, are currently in Torrevieja, Spain, filming for the next series of Channel 4’s A Place In The Sun. In after a day of shooting, the presenters decided to hit the gym at their hotel. Taking to Instagram, the former told her 20,000 followers: “I’ve finished work for the day and I’m back at my hotel in my gym kit, waiting for Laura Hamilton to come and join me. I’ve got a little surprise for her courtesy of Jay, who’s one of the trainers at our gym,” she teased, grinning.

In the next clip, Laura could be seen sat on the floor of the gym in her workout gear, performing some seriously strenuous core exercises, her legs outstretched as she balanced on her sitting bones, attempting to circle her feet slowly one way then the other.

From behind the camera, Jasmine giggled: “Here’s Laura doing some very difficult core exercises.

“But she’s doing it!” she added, sounding impressed.

“What do you say to Jay, Laura, for these exercises?”

“Thanks, Jay!” Laura said through gritted teeth, still struggling with the exercises.

Then it was Jasmine’s turn, while her co-host took over camera duties.

“I can’t even lift my legs off the floor,” the A Place In The Sun favourite huffed, trying and failing to perform the move.

“That’s it, yeah, hands forward!” Laura encouraged, as Jasmine tried again with more success.

“I cannot do it. I cannot do it!” she insisted, almost managing the movement but letting her feet fall onto the floor at the end.

“Don’t put them down at the end!” Laura urged.

Meanwhile, Jasmine, who recently celebrated 15 years on A Place In The Sun, opened up about whether she ever thought about moving on in an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk.

“I’ve never considered leaving the show to work on other things,” she said.

“I’ve obviously worked on others because I’m not filming every week. There’s plenty of room to do other things if I wanted to.

“For as long as they want me and the more they continue making shows I hope I’ll still be involved in it,” she added.

Mother-of-two Jasmine also said her role on A Place In The Sun worked well alongside being a parent, saying show bosses have been “incredibly helpful”.

“My children have been travelling with me for years — both of them, since they were born,” she said.

“I can work around school holidays and don’t have to leave the children for long amounts of time.”

A Place In The Sun: Winter Sun airs weekdays on Channel 4 at 3pm.
