Avengers Endgame: These FOUR MCU movies are the only ones you really NEED to re-watch

This month Avengers Endgame will conclude the 22-movie spanning Infinity Saga of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But will only 24 days to go and almost two days of films to watch, here’s what should you prioritise if you don’t have time. We’ve whittled it all down to just four MCU movies you really need to re-watch before seeing Avengers Endgame. They are Captain America The Winter Soldier, Captain America Civil War, Thor Ragnarok and Avengers Infinity War – and here’s why.

Russo crucially added: “So the story that began in Winter Soldier and that ends in Avengers 4 is a… there’s a very personal arc there for us.

“I think you’ll understand our point of view as filmmakers and who we are as people when you watch all four of those movies together.”

Fans will remember The Winter Soldier was focused on Cap and Bucky’s relationship.

This was further explored and complicated in Civil War, when Tony Stark discovered that Bucky murdered his parents against his will.

However, Cap stayed loyal to Bucky which saw the big split between Steve and Tony at the end of Civil War.

Come Infinity War and the Avengers were split up – which may account for why Thanos won – and then Bucky was one of those who died in the Snap.

Wherever Endgame’s going it’s clearly going to be focused on Iron Man and Captain America’s relationship, but even more so on Cap’s character arc that began – for the Russos – in The Winter Soldier.
