INDIA VS PAKISTAN: Violence flares as enemies exchange cross-border fire – one injured

The fire started early this morning in Jammu and Kashmir. An Indian army spokesperson said: “Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by shelling with mortars and firing with small arms along LoC in the Shahpur and Kerni areas of Poonch district. The Indian Army is retaliating befittingly.

Local TV news channel Tv9 Gujarati tweeted: “Pakistani rangers opened firing in Shahpur & Kerni of Poonch district at about 7:45 AM today, by resorting to shelling with mortars & firing of small arms. Indian Army is retaliating.” 

A man was injured after a mortar shell fell on his house.

A police official told Sputnik: “He was shifted to district hospital Poonch for treatment.”
