Andy Cole singles out Arsenal star who is UNHAPPY under Unai Emery

That is the opinion of former Manchester United and England striker Andy Cole.

Mesut Ozil has been in and out of the Arsenal side in Unai Emery’s first campaign in charge.

The German has struggled with injury and illness and has also been left out of match day squads for tactical reasons.

That all means the 30-year-old has started just 15 games in the Premier League so far under Emery.

Cole is a big fan of Ozil but says there is no doubt he will be dissatisfied with his game time the season.

“To be fair I love watching him play,” Cole said on Sky Sports ahead of Arsenal’s clash against Newcastle on Monday, where Ozil started.

“When he’s on form, as a centre-forward you want to play with him because he’s going to create chances for you.

“Emery doesn’t see it like that all the time.

“No doubts Ozil doesn’t like that position he is in.

“But we’ll just have to wait and see.”

Arsenal are aiming to return to the Champions League after a two-year absence.

But Cole is not predicting a comfortable end to the season for the Gunners.

“I think it’s going to go down to the wire, just like the two teams at the top of the table,” the former Arsenal academy graduate added.

“If Manchester United keep winning their games, Chelsea keep pushing them, if Arsenal win this evening, that takes them a little bit closer.

“But we’ll have to wait and see.

“At the moment as I stand here, I don’t know because Tottenham are in a bit of a tricky position.

“Arsenal if they win tonight and hopefully Manchester United can squeeze themselves in there.”
