Gemma Atkinson’s boyfriend Gorka Marquez, 28, sent the former a card from her dogs to celebrate Mother’s Day. Gemma took to Instagram to share a picture of her pet pooches Ollie and Norman alongside a Mother’s Day card in view of her 964,000 followers. The radio host captioned the picture: “As if Norm and Ollie bought, wrote and gave me a card [crying with laughter emojis]. Thanks Gorka_Marquez.” The former Emmerdale actress later shared a video of one of her dogs touching her growing bump.
She commented: “He loves guarding his little sibling.”
Elsewhere today, Gemma treated her fans to two throwback pictures from her childhood.
In one snap, she is seen as a baby being held up by her mother.
Another picture shows Gemma cuddling her mum as a school child sporting a Simpsons t-shirt.
She commented: “For always picking me up when I need it and for letting me always wear my favourite Tee shirt.
“Happy Mother’s Day Mum.”(sic)
Many of her social media fans flocked to her page to comment on the adorable offering.
One user wrote: “You look like your Mum in this pic! X”
A second commented: “You’ll be getting you very own Mothers Day card and kisses next year, what a fantastic mommy you will be.”
A third penned: “You are the double of your mam.”
Gemma announced she is pregnant with her first child back in February.
The Strictly star placed a sign around her beloved dogs, revealing they are going to be big brothers.
Earlier this week, Gemma admitted she was struggling to teach her dogs to sleep outside their bedroom ahead of the baby’s arrival.
Gorka shared a video of Gemma with her dogs telling fans: “We are trying to teach the dogs to sleep outside the room for when the baby arrives. It’s not going very well.”
Gemma could be heard saying to her dogs: “You don’t have to sleep outside yet, I feel snide.”
The actress captioned the picture: “Dog mums know the struggle I feel so bad putting them on the landing.”
