Transfer news LIVE: Man Utd offered Real Madrid star, Arsenal agreement, Chelsea exit

09:15 UPDATE: Grealish to quit Villa?

Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish should be a transfer target of every club in the Premier League, Dean Ashton claims.

“I think that every single club in the Premier League – and I mean even the best teams – in my opinion, should be looking at Jack Grealish,” Ashton exclusively tells Express Sport.

“He can be that good. He’s got that kind of Ross Barkley style about him, being able to ghost past players, finishing ability as well. But I think he’s a bit better than Ross Barkley.

“I would say eventually [his best position is as a number 10] but he can drop deep and sometimes play as a holder.

“But he’s much better when he’s in front of the opposition penalty box and he’s able to play players in or finish himself.

“I’d much prefer to see him in an attacking sense and, as an ex-centre-forward, you need players such as him playing in and around you to give you service to score goals.”

09:00 UPDATE: Kent to Rangers doubt

Rangers appear unlikely to sign Ryan Kent this summer – because Liverpool want £12million to let the winger leave.

The Liverpool Echo report Jurgen Klopp has placed a £12m price-tag on the head of the 22-year-old.

Kent has been a key player for Rangers this season, scoring five goals and chipping in with six assists in just 21 Scottish Premiership games.

However, it seems unlikely Rangers will fork out that sort of cash for Kent this summer.

08:40 UPDATE: Varane offered to Man Utd

Man Utd were offered Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane, however, the Red Devils baulked at their £70million asking price.

Italian outlet Calico Napoli 24 claim Real are keen to sign Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli and that they would be willing to speak to United again about Varane.

They add that the France international ‘really likes’ United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Solskjaer signed a three-year contract this week after impressing as interim manager at Old Trafford.

08:15 UPDATE: Arsenal agreement

Arsenal have a verbal agreement to sign Ituano ace Gabriel Martinelli.

Yahoo Esportes claim the Gunners beat 25 other teams to the 17-year-old’s signature.

Arsenal are now waiting for Martinelli to obtain an Italian passport before announcing the deal.

It’s understood the Brazilian will cost around £5m.

07:50 UPDATE: Hazard to Real Madrid backed

Chelsea winger Eden Hazard would be the “perfect signing” for Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid, Rivaldo claims.

“Hazard could be more than just a great player at Madrid,” the former Barcelona ace said.

“Eden Hazard would be a perfect signing for Real Madrid, not only for his talents as a player, but also as a leader.

“He lead the Belgian team at the World Cup and does the same currently at Chelsea.

“He already has the experience and know-how of taking responsibility on his own and could be an important piece in this transition phase the club is in after Ronaldo’s departure.”

07:30 UPDATE: Coutinho to quit Barcelona?

Philippe Coutinho has told his Brazil team-mates he’s considering leaving Barcelona.

Spanish daily Sport say the former Liverpool man told some of his Brazil team-mates during the international break of his situation.

“I am thinking about leaving Barcelona, I know that it is a difficult decision, but it can be the best thing for my career,” Sport say Coutinho told his Brazil pals.

Sport add that Coutinho is desperate to rediscover his form from his time at Liverpool.
