James Bond 25: First PHOTOS reveal terrifying VILLAIN as Daniel Craig movie begins filming

On a huge wave of hype and a little over a year away from its release date, it is confirmed that James Bond 25 – which is as-yet-untitled – has begun principle photography in Norway. And though Craig himself does not appear to have been present for scenes shot in Nittedal, the pictures do reveal a mysterious masked villain. Could this person mean big trouble for Craig’s 007 in the upcoming blockbuster?

Accompanying video – which can be seen above – shows a young girl running away from a house while the unnerving masked man limps behind her.

At one point she stands on what seems to resemble a sheet of ice, before falling down – perhaps the point at which VFX could be used to have her disappear underwater.

The presumed villain is then seen shooting at the floor and bending down – indicating he could try saving her, despite earlier giving chase.

Full casting for the new movie has not yet been revealed, so it’s unclear who is playing the masked man and who is playing the child.

There’s also, of course, the possibility that the masked man is a double or stand-in for another actor, and the mask isn’t actually a character trait.

JAMES BOND: WHO WILL REPLACE DANIEL CRAIG?

The script – rewritten by Scott Z Burns – was reported to have been finished just days ago, after Ralph Fiennes and Ben Whishaw had recently claimed to have not yet heard about the story.

Fiennes, who plays M, said just weeks ago: “I don’t know the name of the film, I haven’t had access to a screenplay yet.

“Honestly, I’m not being coy. I don’t know when it starts or what the story is.”

Craig’s swansong as 007 has faced numerous delays: it was initially slated for release in November of this year.

That was eventually nudged back to Valentine’s Day 2020, before finally being pushed again to April 8 next year.

Whishaw – who plays Q – was recently reported to have told fans to expect a press conference detailing the full cast, and presumably the title, in the very near future; though this has yet to be confirmed.

Shatterhand, believed to have been the working title at some point, was recently ruled out by top boss Barbara Broccoli.

Eclipse has since been touted as a potential moniker for it.

James Bond 25 is out on April 8, 2020.
