How Lady Gabriella will DEFY royal wedding trends adopted by Eugenie and Meghan Markle

Lady Gabriella Windsor is the daughter of Prince Michael of Kent and Princess Michael of Kent, who are rather notorious royals.

Fifty-first in line to the British throne, Gabriella Marina Alexandra Ophelia Windsor’s parents live in Kensington Palace, where the bride-to-be was raised.

Enjoying a charmed life, Lady Gabriella now works as a Senior Director for Branding Latin America, after studying at Brown University in the US.

Prince Michael of Kent, 76, is the first cousin of the Queen. His wife Princess Michael, formerly Marie Christine Anna Agnes Hedwig Ida von Reibnitz, was an interior designer before her royal wedding.

A divorcee when she married into the British Royal Family, Princess Michael first married another English aristocrat, Thomas Troubridge, younger brother of Sir Peter Troubridge, 6th Baronet.

In classic aristocrat style, they met at a boar hunt.

Now the couple’s only daughter Lady Gabriella is marrying her financier boyfriend at St George’s Chapel, just under a year after Meghan and Harry wed in the same spot.

Now, a body language expert as revealed how Lady Gabriella, a second cousin of the Queen, will eschew more current royal wedding trends set by the likes of Meghan Markle, 37, and Princess Eugenie, 29.

Bernadette Chapman, Founder of The UK Alliance of Wedding Planners and Business Coach says told Express.co.uk that Lady Gabriella’s wedding would be different in a number of ways.

She said: “Looking at both Lady Gabriella and her fiancé it is my opinion they will opt for a very classical and understated wedding.

“I don’t see this wedding as being ostentatious, on the contrary I see the design as more a timeless affair.”

Meghan and Harry had a reception at Frogmore House, where it was reported that Ed Sheeran performed, wile Eugenie and Jack had three days of celebrating at the Royal Lodge.

And Meghan and Eugenie deviated from tradition in another way, their cakes. Harry and Meghan had a lemon elderflower cake with buttercream, covered in fresh flowers. Eugenie’s wedding cake, on the other hand, was a five-tier red velvet and chocolate cake.

Barbara claimed Gabriella is likely to go for something different. She said: “For the cake I am anticipating it edging towards a modern twist on classical with each tier slightly different. I suspect they will opt for texture on some of the tiers, pastel colour icing and an abundance of sugar flowers. They will have both traditional fruit and popular sponge flavours.”

For the designer of the reception, Barbara is also anticipating a classic look. She said: “A lot of attention will be spent on the table designs, ensuring that the linen and table settings are of high standard.

“The table centres will not be too imposing but instead using low classical glass containers with the flowers cascading over the edge, again more flowers and less foliage.”

When is Lady Gabriella’s wedding? A statement from Buckingham Palace, revealing their engagement said: “Prince and Princess Michael of Kent are delighted to announce the engagement of their daughter Lady Gabriella Windsor to Mr Thomas Kingston.”

The wedding will take place on May 18, and is said to be a quieter affair than the two preceding royal weddings.

Who is Lady Gabriella Windsor’s ex Aatish Taseer, who claims to have taken MDMA in Windsor Castle?

The journalist was born in London, but grew up in New Delhi, India.
