Coronation Street spoilers: Robert Preston holds harrowing secret over Rana Habeeb death

Coronation Street fans are still reeling from the loss of Rana Habeeb (played by Bhavna Limbachia) when she died in the factory roof collapse.

As residents come to terms with the shocking incident, they want to know why the incident even happened – and if someone can be blamed.

At the moment, there are six official suspects in the ITV soap, but it seems Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill) is hiding a killer secret which could incriminate him.

Earlier in the week, the chef seemed to be acting rather suspiciously and many wondered if this means he was guilty.

Ali Neeson (James Burrows) and Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) wandered into The Bistro after spotting it was unlocked.

They were armed with a bottle of disinfectant, ready to pounce on any possible intruder.

But all they found was Robert, who seemed to be noticeably sheepish.

He said he had completely no idea what had gone on in Underworld, admitting he didn’t even know there’d been an accident.

However, girlfriend Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) was quick to point out it had been all over the news.

Robert was beside himself to discover the loss of Rana, who was crushed in the horrible attack.

But does his sadness for Rana actually prove his guilt?

Robert is certainly looking questionable at the moment, considering he just destroyed Carla Connor’s (Alison King) car.

Michelle was keen to know what his movements were after doing so, but he seemed reluctant to give her a solid answer.

What’s more, he erupted when Ryan suggested he was feeling guilty – what is he trying to hide?

Elsewhere on the cobbles, fellow suspect Gary Windass (Mikey North) is about to blackmail Carla.

Carla is immediately under fire from Coronation Street residents because she seemingly knew the roof wasn’t safe.

And the only other person who knows the truth is Gary, who is also trying to make a bit of cash.

Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) whisked Carla away to Portsmouth in the middle of the drama.

However, Gary wasn’t majorly impressed by his move and demanded some money to keep his silence.

Coronation Street continues tonight on ITV at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
