PS4 Plus Free Games: April 2019’s Conan Exiles and The Surge compared to March

Sony has announced that they are releasing two new PS4 Plus games in April 2019.

These will be Conan Exiles and The Surge, relatively recent launches on the PlayStation platform.

Comparing them to March’s titles – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and The Witness – will always be a difficult task.

All four games have been rated by critics and fans on Metacritic, with March’s PS Plus games scoring a better average.

Neither Conan Exiles or The Surge are rated better in either category on the ratings site, however, there are few things to know.

Both The Witness and COD have more user reviews, while the rating system itself is open to review bombing following release.

The main thing to draw from is that while none of these can be considered fully-fledged AAA games – Modern Warfare is a Remastered game – they do offer something else that is very important.

All four titles draw from different genres and create a great level of varied gameplay to enjoy.

So while you may not like survival games or first-person shooters, you might be a big fan of Sci-Fi and Puzzle titles.

The variation in the games being offered is just as important as the quality of the overall gameplay and is something that PlayStation can score full points for trying to offer in 2019.

So far this year, we have only had one first-person shooter, with other games like Hitman, Steep and For Honor making it possible for most gamers to find something they’d like to try.

For the record and according to Metacritic, The Witness is the best-reviewed title between critics and users out of the four, scoring an 87 Metascore and a 7.2 User Score.

Conan Exiles comes in bottom, earning an average 68 Metascore and 5.5 User Score, albeit, from a smaller pool of reviewers.

Both Conan Exiles and The Surge will be available to download from the PlayStation Store on April 2.

That gives PS Plus gamers a little less than a week to decide on whether to give The Witness and COD Remastered a try.
