Queen Letizia of Spain stuns in plunging dress – custom look is worth thousands

Queen Letizia and King Felipe of Spain are currently on an official visit to Argentina. It’s the first state trip to the country that a Spanish monarch has made in 16 years. The royals arrived in Buenos Aires on Sunday. Last night, the 46-year-old looked spectacular in a custom cocktail dress by Carolina Herrera.

The teal midi dress had a fitted bodice, and billowed outwards.

It had a V-Neck cut, and had been adorned with floral gold detailing.

This particular gown is thought to be a bespoke design, based on a pale grey and gold embroidered silk gown by the designer.

The floor length ready to wear version is currently for sale online for £6,406.16 – although Saks Fifth Avenue are, at the time of writing, offering a discount of $250 (around £189).

The Queen accessorised the look with a gold Carolina Herrera Metropolitan Insignia clutch.

The bag, which is made in Spain, costs £995.

She also sported a pair of high heels which featured metallic straps at the ankle and toe.

Adding to the chic look, the mother-of-one styled her sleek hair in a low bun.

The Queen of Spain also sported a pair of sparkling silver stud earrings.

The exact cost of the look is unknown, but considering the bespoke nature of the dress, the total is likely to be in excess of £7,401.

In one snap, Queen Letizia could be seen making her way to the table alongside Argentina’s First Lady Juliana Awada.

The 44-year-old wore a red long-sleeved dress which had a crew neckline.
