10:10 UPDATE: Rakitic to stay at Barcelona

Ivan Rakitic will stay Barcelona past this season, with Ernesto Valverde guaranteeing it.

Rakitic has been linked with a move away from the Nou Camp once this campaign is up – with the 31-year-old seen by some as too old to warrant a place in the midfield.

But Valverde made sure Barca guaranteed he is not sold before the manager signed a contract extension himself last month.

AS report that Valverde os a big fan of Croatian Rakitic and has no intention of seeing him leave.

09:45 UPDATE: Paul Pogba to Real Madrid

Paul Pogba has reportedly ‘decided’ to join Real Madrid in the summer – but needs the backing of his agent.

Manchester United would likely demand a massive transfer fee if Pogba told them he was off, with his contract not expiring until 2021.

Yet Spanish newspaper AS report that Pogba wants to leave Old Trafford, with either Serie A or La Liga his preferred destinations.

Juventus – his former club – would not likely be able to afford the Frenchman, and so Real Madrid appear the realistic option for him.

09:15 UPDATE: Barcelona’s De Ligt plan

Barcelona have a plan in place to beat down Matthijs de Ligt’s transfer fee at Ajax.

Barca are expected to land 19-year-old De Ligt in the summer but Ajax want around £70m of the Dutch sensation.

SPORT claim Barca will offer to send Frenchman Jean-Clair Todibo on loan to Ajax for next season, in order to reduce the transfer fee.

Todibo joined Barcelona on transfer deadline day this January, having played 10 games for Toulouse this season already.

Liverpool are willing to ditch Naby Keita at a loss of £10m.

Keita has struggled to impress at Anfield this season and both Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are said to have held talks over a deal for the playmaker.

And the Reds are supposedly ready to cut their losses.

Arsenal want to sign Charlton sensation Joe Aribo.

Aribo, 22, has impressed in League One this season and the Gunners are watching him closely, report the Mirror.

The midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season so Arsenal can get him on the cheap – although Charlton would be due some compensation.

Frankfurt and Benfica are also said to be interested in the Londoner.

07:40 UPDATE: Liverpool scout Milan Skriniar

Liverpool are said to be the latest club to have an interest in Milan Skriniar.

Centre-back Skriniar is tipped to leave Inter in the summer, with a host of clubs keen on his services.

The 24-year-old has a wealth of English clubs on his tail – team talk report – and is available for £30m.

It is claimed Reds scouts will be in Cardiff this week for Slovakia’s clash with Wales.

07:20 UPDATE: Juve want Varane

The number of clubs chasing Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane has increased as Juventus enter the mix.

That is according to SPORT, who claim the French defender is considering his future at the Bernabeu.

Manchester United are said to be keen on Varane.

But Juve may be able to sway the centre-back to move to Italy – especially with his former team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo currently scoring for fun in Turin.

07:00 UPDATE: Man Utd warning over Maguire

Manchester United are interested in signing Harry Maguire but Leicester have warned it will take a record £90m to see him leave the King Power.

Virgil van Dijk is currently the world’s most expensive defender after leaving Southampton for Liverpool in a £75m deal in January 2018.

And United will have to smash that record to land England international Maguire, who is top of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s defensive wish list.

The Daily Star report that United may go for an £80m bid but the Foxes will hope to raise the amount by a further £10m.

06:45 UPDATE: Celtic transfer latest

Michael Lustig says his future will be dealt with this week.

The Swede has spoken to AIK and told Express Sport: “Absolutely. They know well about my situation.

“We have not spoken on any contract, but then I don’t really know how the rules are.

“I’ve been quite open I might want to finish my career in Sweden.

“Clearly I’m thinking about it, but I have a lot to consider.”

06:30 UPDATE: Christensen Chelsea admission

Andreas Christensen has admitted it is “very difficult to accept” his current situation at Chelsea.

The Danish defender has barely played for the Blues under manager Maurizio Sarri and could look to leave the Blues.

“The situation I have ended up in has been very difficult to accept,” Christensen told Ekstra Bladet.

“The messages we have received are that Chelsea cannot appeal the case (of their transfer ban) and therefore want to keep all the players.

“I have tried to show myself on the training track, but it is difficult because it is limited how much we train with all the matches the team is going to play.

“Now I have played the matches in the Europa League and hope it will continue as long as we are in the tournament.”
