Apple March event LIVE STREAM: Movie service, AirPower and iPhone SE 2 may be revealed

There’s just a minutes to go until Apple reveals its next big news with things starting at 5pm GMT.

The firm is holding a major event at its headquarters in Cupertino, California,  and it seems almost certain a new streaming service will be revealed.

It’s currently unclear just how this new platform will work but, if Apple can replicate the success of its Apple Music subscription, it could prove hugely popular and take on the likes of Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.

Rumours suggest that along with showing standard TV and movies, Apple will also launch exclusive content that will only be available to those who subscribe.

Along with a movie and TV, there could also be an announcement about another online service.

It’s thought Apple may reveal a paid news option which would bring updates and features from some of the world’s biggest publishers for a monthly fee.

We’ll find out more about that in a few hours time.

Although many Apple fans will be hoping for new hardware such as a new iPhone SE and AirPower charging pad, this seems very unlikely.

This latest March event seems strictly about its new online platforms and not shiny new device.

However, there’s always a chance that Apple will throw in a few surprises so it’s worth watching this space for any updates on devices.

So, if you want to watch all the news live here’s how to tune in online.
