Transfer news LIVE: Man Utd £150m bid, Tottenham double deal, Arsenal want three players

07.55 UPDATE: Man Utd quoted £90m for Maguire

Manchester United have been told they will need to pay £90m to land Harry Maguire this summer.

The Leicester star was wanted by United last summer but Ed Woodward baulked at the £75m price tag.

And now Leicester chiefs are ready to play hard ball again and will demand an even bigger fee.

United want to add another defender to their squad for next season and are also eyeing Kalidou Kouliably.

07.40 UPDATE: Tottenham want Jota and Grealish

Tottenham are keeping close tabs on Wolves striker Diogo Jota as Daniel Levy prepares to release transfer funds – with Jack Grealish another target.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino hasn’t signed a player in the last two transfer windows but has drawn up a shortlist of players to sign this summer.

The Portuguese, 22, has been in outstanding form for Wolves this season scoring seven times in the last 14 games including a hat-trick against Leicester City.

Pochettino believes that Jota, who is under contract until 2022, could be the man to take some of the pressure off England hit man Harry Kane.

Elsewhere, Pochettino may look to a former target in Aston Villa star Jack Grealish to bolster the midfield.

Villa may encounter penalties from the EFL for their financial ongoings and Spurs are looking to take advantage of the uncertainty in the Midlands.

07.30 UPDATE: World record Koulibaly bid

Manchester United will have to smash the world record fee for a defender if they want to sign Kalidou Koulibaly after being quoted £150million for the Napoli star.

United are leading the race to sign the Senegalese international, who was a target for Chelsea last summer but his value has more than doubled since then.

Liverpool hold the current record fee for a defender after they paid Southampton £75m to sign Virgil van Dijk in January 2018.

Kalidou Koulibaly has been tracked by Real Madrid and Barcelona this season but they have been put off by Napoli’s sky high valuation.

Express Sport understands United aren’t however being put off and are continuing their pursuit of Koulibaly, who only cost the Italians £6.5m when they signed him from Genk four years ago

07.15 UPDATE: Arsenal eye three summer deals

Arsenal are eyeing summer deals in three areas with a left-back, wide attacker and central midfielder the priority.

Unai Emery is set to lose Aaron Ramsey to Juventus and Danny Welbeck remains injured and out of contract.

And there are doubts over the depth at left back with Nacho Monreal ageing and Sead Kolasinac not impressing.

Emery is keen on Paris St-Germain’s French midfielder Christopher Nkunku and Rennes’ Senegalese winger Ismaila Sarr, according to Football London.

06.45 UPDATE: Chelsea deal revelation

Nicolo Barella admits his move to Chelsea fell through because he was committed to completing the season at Cagliari.

The Italian midfielder was linked with a move after Cesc Fabregas left the club.

“I don’t know, I never talked about the market with the club, I had made the commitment to stay in Cagliari the whole season and I kept it,” Barella said.

“My attorney and my President take care of it, the rumours mean that I am doing well. I want salvation now.”
