Emmerdale viewers have been calling for the grooming storyline between Maya Stepney (played by Louisa Clein) and Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) to end.
And it seems there could be a major twist in their storyline as Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) is going to get involved.
After weeks of secret meetings, flirty text messages and romantic rendezvous, Maya and Jacob have since become careless with their actions.
Whilst there have been many times the pair were close to getting caught out, it seems their forbidden affair and Maya’s despicable behaviour could be revealed in a totally unusual way.
During an interview with The Mirror, actress Amy spoke about her character’s former relationship with David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden).
She spoke about the possibility of them reuniting and said: “Why they split us up, there was always the possibility they’d get back together.
“They’re good friends still, which is nice. It’s nice to show that people can be amicable after a split.
“It will be interesting to let it run long, like in a few years when they’ve grown up. Like Ken and Deirdre [Barlow from Coronation Street].
“I think it could be like that,” Amy continued. “I’ve just pitched for a job for the next decade!”
With Amy teasing a reconciliation between David and Tracy, could the pair find themselves in bed together soon?
It wouldn’t be surprising as David is known to have a wild streak of being unfaithful.
Considering the recent turbulence he has been experiencing with Maya, there is a strong chance he could turn to Tracy for advice and get a little bit more than he intended.
But this may only cause Maya and David to break up as the teacher explodes with jealousy.
However should this occur, this would be the perfect opportunity for Jacob to reveal his relationship with the school teacher.
Not having to worry about ruining his stepdad and Maya’s relationship, Jacob could find himself telling everyone he and Maya have been secretly seeing one another.
Could this be the way the storyline is exposed?
Elsewhere in Emmerdale, viewers saw Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) tell her family she was pregnant during last week’s episodes.
After devastatingly losing daughter Grace to a congenital lung condition last year, her and partner Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) are going to welcome another child later this year.
But will it be a bittersweet tribute to Lisa Dingle (Jane Cox), who has terminal cancer?
