Xbox Live DEMO: Download this new Xbox One free game experience NOW

Microsoft is offering a new free game experience this week that can be played on the Xbox One.

For those gamers with access to the Game Store, you can grab the demo version of Forbidden Forgiveness right now.

The deal went live earlier this month on the Microsoft Store and won’t take up much of your precious hard drive space.

Weighing in at under 3GB makes it an easy one to download and try out, especially if you’re a horror fan.

According to the official blurb, Forbidden Forgiveness is a first-person psychological horror game that aims to play with your mind.

The new demo contains the latest build of the game that was first scheduled to arrive in 2018.

No countdown or timer has been added to the game listing, suggesting it will remain a free download throughout 2019.

The official store description explains: “The story depends on multiple dimensions, where you’ll be able to travel between them at any time.

“What you’ll do in these dimensions will affect the story and the gameplay, the game heavily depends on multiple Endings.

“You’ll need to know who’s good and who’s bad not just because they’re doing things you don’t like.

“And you’re not defenceless, you can defend yourself from the Unknown but sometimes you can’t, so you’ll have to run.

“The game contains unique puzzles, and there are Boss Fights, but they are not just about having more guns, ammo and health packs to kill them, you’ll need to solve a puzzle or do something to be able to win.”

Forbidden Forgiveness is available to download for free alongside a few other titles, one which will certainly sound familiar to horror fans.

The Resident Evil 2 Remake may have wowed gamers – and is another title with a free demo to try out – but there is also a few other options on the Xbox Store.

The first episode of Resident Evil Revelations 2 is available to download now on Xbox One.

Originally released in 2015, the first episode of this four-episode game includes the main story and Raid Mode for additional hours of gameplay.

This is another easy one to download, weighing in at just over 7GB on the Game Store. It should be noted that both games have mature age ratings ranked at 18+.

“Kidnapped by an unknown group of assailants, Claire and Moira awake to find themselves trapped on an isolated island infested with horrifying creatures beyond imagination. Now they must desperately struggle to escape the horror,” the official description reads.

Xbox Live Gold subscribers can also look forward to Microsoft announcing their new Games with Gold lineup for April in the coming days.

The Games with Gold program provides Gold members with free games every month, worth up to $700 per year, according to Microsoft.

No hints or leaks have appeared online yet, but we should know what titles will be included by Friday, March 29.
