7.30am UPDATE: Man Utd and Liverpool suffer Joao Felix blow

Manchester United and Liverpool are among several clubs thought to be monitoring Joao Felix – and they have all been dealt a blow in their pursuit of the Benfica youngster.

Versatile forward Felix boasts 12 goals and six assists for in 32 appearances across all competitions for Primeira Liga leaders Benfica this season.

And according to ESPN, his displays have seen Manchester City join Man Utd and Real Madrid among the many teams keeping an eye on the rising star.

Asked which league is more attractive between La Liga and the Premier League, Felix replied: “The Spanish [league].”

7am UPDATE: Lucas Torreira to leave Arsenal?

Lucas Torreira’s father has hinted the midfielder could leave the Gunners for Italy in the future.

“It’s true, Lucas was very close to Napoli,” he said.

“There were negotiations with Napoli, but something strange happened, and you know in the transfer market things can change from one moment to the next.

“Negotiations are long and complicated processes, so it can happen than they don’t go the way we expected.

“There was this opportunity to go to England and Lucas took it, so I have to say he is happy at Arsenal.

“Obviously, Lucas is very fond of Italian football, where he grew up, and might return to Italy in future.

“You can never say never, so it’s possible he could come back to this marvellous country and, why not to Napoli or another club that makes an offer?”

6.30am UPDATE: Alberto Moreno close to Liverpool exit

Liverpool left-back Alberto Moreno is in Rome with the view to putting pen-to-paper on a pre-contract deal with Lazio – but he hasn’t told Jurgen Klopp or the club.

That’s according to the Liverpool Echo.

The Spaniard is out of contract at the Reds at the end of this season having spent five years at Anfield.

Given Moreno’s status as back up to Andy Robertson, Liverpool have not tabled an extension – nor do they plan to before the summer.

The 26-year-old was pictured with Lucas Leiva on Instagram in Rome to reportedly pen a pre-contract deal this week.

6am UPDATE: Chelsea could lose Hudson-Odoi to Liverpool

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp remains interested in signing Chelsea starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Bayern Munich are known admirers of Hudson-Odoi and are thought to be frontrunners to secure his signature.

But Liverpool have not given up hope of signing the 18-year-old either, according to Sport Bild.

Hudson-Odoi has yet to start a Premier League game for Chelsea but has still been called up to the senior England squad by Gareth Southgate this week.
