Flat Earth SHOCK: Conspiracist ready to ‘END argument once and for ALL' with NEW evidence

The Flat Earth model is a modern adaptation promoting the misconception that the Earth is flat, rather than a globe. The idea dates back to the middle of the 20th century but was made famous again thanks to the creation of the Flat Earth society by Samual Shenton in 1956. Bob Knodel runs YouTube channel Globebusters and says he has a new method to prove the Earth is flat.

He showed, during new Netflix documentary “Behind the Curve”, how he will apparently prove his theory.

He said: “We are a group of engineers and scientists and we have done several experiments that show the Earth is flat.

“Recently we carried out an experiment to test the rotation of the Earth.

“If the Earth is spinning at one rotation every 24 hours, that means that every hour it as to turn 15 degrees.”

Mr Knodel went on to reveal how an expensive piece of equipment will apparently help him prove the Earth is flat.

He added: “If a gyroscope is mounted anywhere on Earth it’s going to drift.

“In today’s navigation systems they’re using what is called a ring laser gyroscope – it is extremely precise.

“If we could simply get one of these, we could prove once and for all, that there is no rotation.

“One of the people in the community actually purchased one for $20,000 (£15,250).”

However, despite what would appear to be a huge setback during testing, Mr Knodel is still hopeful.

He explained: “What we found is when we turned on that gyroscope, we found we were picking up a drift of 15-degrees per hour.

“Obviously we were taken aback by that, it’s kind of a problem, right?

“We are obviously not willing to accept this, so the next thing we are going to try is encasing the entire apparatus in bismuth.”

Dr Spiros Michalakis, a leading physicist, revealed why scientists cannot reason with the conspiracy theorists.

He said during the same show: “The difference in being sceptical about something and being in denial is very subtle but very important.

“Someone who is sceptical is willing to test their own hypothesis, they are actually looking for the truth, even if it turns out they are wrong.

“You are not looking for the data to try to prove you wrong or change your position.

“You are trying to look for all the data that proves you right.”
