Neil Jones Instagram: Strictly pro reacts to wife Katya's REPLY about being 'happy'

Neil Jones, 36, who is a choreographer on the BBC series of Strictly Come Dancing, works alongside his wife Katya Jones, 29, who is a pro-dancer on the hit show. The dancer took to his Instagram stories where he asked his 164,0000 followers the following question: “Creating shows makes me happy – what makes you happy?” Katya responded with a simple answer: “Food.” To which Neil added: “And me,” with a funny face emoji.

Fans bombarded the dancer with comments, as one person said: “Having lessons with you.”

Another person stated: “You and Katya,” as the dancer replied: “Sweet.”

While a third person quipped: “You getting a celebrity partner this season (please producers).”

Neil replied to the message with a praying hands and a kiss face emoji.

This comes after many fans have quizzed the star if he will be making an appearance on the dance competition with a contestant in the new series after the departure of pro-dancer Pasha Kovalev.

Speaking to Express.co.uk, Neil said: “Everyone asked me the same question when Brendan [Cole] left… and it’s got nothing to do with that, you know it’s always down to the celebs.

“From the celebs they try and choose. We will just see if they want me to step in and if so, I will and if not then no problem.

“I do the same job. I am fine with whatever I get.”

Meanwhile, the couple appeared on the Lorraine show yesterday, following the controversy surrounding Katya’s kiss with her celebrity dance partner Seann Walsh, 33.

The comedian and the Russian dancer were filmed making out during a night out last October, in the middle of the last season of the programme.

Host Lorraine Kelly suggested it must have been “really embarrassing” for Neil, and he agreed saying: “It was a shock.

“For me it was a major shock and I appreciated it of course that Katya told me. I found out from Katya before I saw it in the news.”

“That would’ve been terrible,” Lorraine said, as he continued: “Yeah, and it was. Strictly were fantastic with me, with us all. They supported us all and were helping us.

“It was that shock factor. Straightaway I was more worried for Katya. Because I was like… I could kind of see what was going to happen… as long as she’s going to be okay.”

Katya continued: “There were lots of different emotions and we’ve gone through that. Now that we moved on, we forgot how we felt in that moment.”

Despite what happened between the pair, Neil said he still has “trust” with his wife after he spoke about the messages he received online.

He said: “Of course we had a lot of things where people are like, ‘How can you do this?”

“I was getting messages on Instagram saying, ‘You’ve got to leave her!’ I was like, but that’s what’s wrong.”

He added: “For me, I felt they overreacted.”
