Dianne Buswell, 29, and Joe Sugg, 27, appeared on the BBC series of Strictly Come Dancing last year and the couple have since been public with their relationship. However, their Strictly co-star Neil Jones, 36, hinted at a possible proposal for the lovebirds, but Dianne has now addressed the rumours. Speaking to Hello! magazine, the star spilled: “I haven’t seen [Neil] yet but I’m going to have a chat with him. But I haven’t really thought about [getting engaged] to be honest.” The surprising admission comes after Neil took to his Twitter account and in view of his 55,400 followers, he wrote: “It’s hard to understand but something about having a big surprise for @dbuzz6589 but first he needs to speak to her dad and he said something about bells.”
Social media users were quick to question the pro-dancer as many believed he meant that Joe was about to pop the ultimate question.
Neil then followed up with another tweet which seemingly suggested the YouTube sensation will be getting down one one now quite soon.
He said: “I think @Joe_Sugg might be buying some knee pads as he keeps talking about getting on one knee.”
Users quickly flooded the pro-dancer with comments, as one person tweeted: “NEIL you really know how to wind us up don’t ya?”(sic)
Another person replied: “Getting on one knee, is their a proposal coming?”
While a third person added: “Neil are you ok?”
Neither Dianne or Joe addressed the tweets but it seemingly appeared the comments were in jest to the loved-up couple.
Meanwhile, the red-haired beauty took to Instagram today to share a sweet snap of her and Joe as they stood on the beach.
As she beamed at the camera, Joe can be seen planting a kiss on her cheek.
The pro-dancer captioned the photo: “He’ll do anything he can to stop me from returning to my mermaid friends in the sea.”
She seemingly appeared to be referring to Ariel in the Disney cult classic The Little Mermaid who was known for her fiery red tresses.
Fans rushed to comment on the heartwarming snap of the couple, as one person wrote: “This photo is everything.”
Another person replied: This made my day, they make me feel so single but looking at them makes me happy.”
While a third person commented: “Name a more iconic duo I’ll wait.”
Strictly Come Dancing will return to BBC One later this year.
