Tina Malone, who is most well-known for playing Mimi Maguire in Shameless, was photographed outside the ITV studios today amid her appearance on This Morning.
The 56-year-old English actress joined presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on the sofa today to talk about the aftermath of her illegal actions, which saw her post a picture on social media of James Bulger’s killer Jon Venables in the present day.
The TV star weeped as she spoke about the consequences of her actions and the subsequent £10,000 fine that she received.
Tina explained to the presenting duo, that she was new to Facebook and claimed she did not realise it was illegal to share a current image of Jon Venables.
Jon and fellow killer Robert Thompson, who were 10-years-old at the time of the incident, were granted lifelong anonymity following their conviction for the murder of two-year-old James Bulger in 1993.
She said: “I just didn’t realise what I was doing was illegal.”
Continuing, “I didn’t mean to promote or incite violence or anything – it was over a year ago, and the consequences have been horrific.”
The actress wore a casual khaki ensemble for her TV appearance this morning comprised of a dark grey T-shirt and trousers in a lighter shade of the same colour teamed with black studded ankle boots.
The mother-of-two smiled at photographers as she made her away across the concourse, wrapping up in a long grey coat and brown hat.
The Shameless star carried a large red handbag on her arm during the London outing.
