PlayStation VR price cut: Sony SLASHES price of PSVR Starter Pack

PS4 owners can make big savings on the PlayStation VR Starter Pack.

Sony has slashed the price of the hardware to just £209 in the UK.

Available from the likes of Amazon, Currys, Argos and GAME, the Starter Pack comes with the headset, camera and a copy of PlayStation VR Worlds.

PlayStation VR Worlds is a collection of five different experiences, including The London Heist and Into the Deep.

That’s on top of VR Luge, Scavenger’s Odyssey and Danger Ball.

At the time of writing, GAME has the best deal of all, bundling the PSVR Starter Pack with a copy of Resident Evil 7 and a streaming pass.

If you want even more games for your collection, then Argos is selling the Mega Pack for £239.99.

In addition to PSVR Worlds, the Mega Pack also includes DOOM VFR, Skyrim VR, Wipeout Omega Collection and the excellent Astro Bot Rescue Mission.

The news comes after Sony dropped a hint about VR compatibility for the PS5.

Sony’s Shawn Layden recently praised games like Astro Bot, claiming that it lays a solid foundation for the future.

Speaking during the DICE conference, (via UploadVR) Layden also said that “much of VR is one dot out, and it still feels experimental”.

He followed this up by adding: “We’re starting to see progress towards VR 2.0 games and software.”
