Lewis Hamilton admits he is not easy to work with in emotional Instagram post

Hamilton had to settle for second at the Australian Grand Prix over the weekend, with team-mate Valtteri Bottas taking the win.

Bottas also landed a bonus point for clocking the fastest lap, putting him on 26 points in the 2019 Driver Standings, eight ahead of Hamilton on 18.

The 34-year-old vowed to bounce back at the Bahrian GP in two weeks’ time, but before then he would head to the Mercedes factory in Brackley, Northamptonshire, to uncover more about the problems he had with his car in Melbourne.

And yesterday Lewis Hamilton posted an emotional tribute to the camera staff who spend their careers taking photographs of him.

“I took this picture after qualifying with all the photographers that have photographed me for the last 12 years,” he captioned a picture with a group of camera staff on Instagram.

“I just wanted to take this moment with them as life is precious and can sometimes fly by.

“I know I’m not always easy to work with photo wise but I do appreciate you guys, thank you.”

Despite Bottas’ early victory, Hamilton is not getting too down about the result.

“I’ve been here a long, long time and I’ve never known after the first race,” he said.

“Usually after the first four races you get a better idea of where we all stand.

“It could be like this for four races or it could be more scattered.

“I don’t have a crystal ball so I can’t tell you, but I can assure you that we are going to be pushing onwards and upwards from here.”
