Flat Earth SHOCK: How conspiracist CONFRONTED ‘NASA employee over LIES'

The Flat Earth model is a bizarre conspiracy theory on the concept that the Earth is a flat, disc-shaped plane. Many ancient cultures subscribed to the idea but it was made famous again in modern times thanks to the creation of the Flat Earth society by Samuel Shenton in 1956. Nathan Thompson is the founder of  “Official Flat Earth & Globe Discussion” on Facebook, a sub-group of the main society, and he believes NASA, along with other government agencies, are lying to the public.

He featured in Netflix documentary “Behind the Curve”, where he revealed why he believed some kind of higher power was ruling the world.

He said in 2018: “The more I researched it, and the more I found out that the biblical cosmology is a geocentric cosmology, then I realised why they’re hiding the truth.

“It’s because they do not want anyone to know anything.

“They want people dumb to the truth, so they can inject you with their vaccines and public schooling – did you know they made up dinosaurs?”

I’ve actually ran into a NASSA employee at Starbucks and asked him why NASA means to deceive in Hebrew

The series then showed footage of Mr Thompson entering a cafe and confronting a man he claimed to be a NASA employee.

He then tells the camera: “So I’ve actually ran into a NASA employee at Starbucks and asked him why NASA means to deceive in Hebrew.

“You hate Americans? Is that true?”

The footage then cuts and appears to show Mr Thompson outside the cafe.

He adds: “So I just got kicked out of Starbucks for asking a NASA employee questions.

“I ended up getting kicked out.”

Previously, another Flat Earth supporter has also made headlines.

Mark Sargent, an avid member and published author on the wacky conspiracy, was shut down by a scientist.

Mr Sargent revealed during the same Netflix series how he noticed no planes flying over the South Pole – meaning this must be the edge of the world.

However, when the footage was shown to Hannelore Gerling-Dunsmore, from the California Institute of Technology, she quickly disproved it.

The astrophysicist researcher quickly pulled up her laptop and visited a flight tracking website.

Pointing to live planes travelling over the Southern Hemisphere, she said: “Oh what’s this guy doing? Seems to be going south.

“Where are you going buddy?

“And where’s that coming from? Looks like the Southern Hemisphere to me.

“This is a very easy test to perform.”

Neil deGrasse Tyson, an American astrophysicist, author, and leading science figure, simply put the claims to bed three years ago.

He said: “This whole thing is just a symptom of a larger problem.

“There is a growing anti-intellectual strain in this country that may be the beginning of the end of our informed democracy.

“The Earth isn’t f***ing flat.

“And by the way, this is called gravity.”

Mr Tyson then dropped his microphone and walked off, demonstrating how anything with a mass or energy is brought together by the natural force.

His action disproves the Flat Earth theory because if the Earth was a disc, we would be constantly pulled to the centre.

Because it is a sphere – a constant shape – no matter where you stand, you have the same amount of mass under you.

This means gravity will pull anything on the surface of the sphere straight down toward the centre.
