Call of Duty Mobile pre-register now live, download release date news coming soon?

The new free-to-play Call of Duty: Mobile title has been in regional beta testing for some time and is now heading to a global audience in 2019.

COD Mobile pre-register options are now live, meaning players can make sure they are among the first to experience the new shooter.

And Activision is already teasing that fan-favourite weapons, maps, and characters from across the franchise will be included.

Pre-registering is available on Android and iOS today, a good sign that a release date isn’t far away.

Activision has not provided a fixed date for when the COD beta will begin but have announced that public testing is scheduled for this summer.

Call of Duty Mobile will be launching this year but will be done in waves, rather than en masse.

This will start with those who pre-register for early access being picked for testing on Android and iOS.

This will be followed by a wider release on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, something that sounds further down the road.

This means that some people who pre-register now will get access to Call of Duty Mobile download option before others. So fans who want to get involved as soon as possible need to sign up and try their luck.

“Over the coming months we will be releasing pre-launch Betas for fans who pre-register to continue optimizing the experience and fine-tuning the game,” a message from Activision confirms.

“Pre-registration is now available on Google Play and on this site for a chance to be included in these groups.

“Once we have publicly launched the game it will be free to download on Google Play and on the iOS App Store.

“We’ll announce more information in the coming months. For now, pre-register for updates to be the first to play our pre-launch Betas this year.”

It should be noted that pre-registration for the game is open in select regions, including North America, South America, Europe, and other territories.

Players can sign up and pre-register for Call of Duty: Mobile on Android and iOS at www.callofduty.com/mobile to receive all the latest game updates, information, and access to the public beta coming this summer in select regions.

From what has been shared in the new teaser trailer, fans will have access to modes like Team Deathmatch, Search and Destroy, Free-for-All, with Blackout also hinted at.

Iconic Call of Duty locations and maps will also be included, with the likes of Nuketown, Crash, and Hijacked already confirmed.

Activision has been working with Tencent to bring Call of Duty to mobile platforms, the mega-publisher behind hits like PUBG Mobile and Arena of Valor.

“Developed in conjunction with Tencent, the game features the hallmarks of exceptional environments, incredible action, and intense competitive firefights no matter where you are in the world” Activision adds in a new statement.

“Tencent’s award-winning Timi studio has a proven track record with the success of Honor of Kings and CrossFire, and their dedicated team of die-hard Call of Duty fans are working to create an epic, visceral, and feature-packed mobile action experience with this release.”
