Cheltenham Festival 2019: Richard Hammond and family battle weather on Gold Cup day

Cheltenham Festival 2019 is coming to a close today and celebrities including Richard Hammond, Victoria Pendleton and Carol Vorderman have all turned out in force to enjoy the final day of racing – Gold Cup Day.

The Grand Tour presenter Richard Hammond, 49, was pictured arriving at Cheltenham Racecourse this morning but had wrestle with his umbrella to avoid getting wet.

The television star was dressed to the nines for his day out in a tweed three-piece suit with a green tie and tan leather shoes.

The car enthusiast was ever the gentleman holding his large brolly high in the air to protect his whole family.

Richard was pictured with his wife of 17 years Mindy, 53, and their two daughters Willow and Isabella who were attempting to shelter from the rain.

Mindy complimented her husband’s outfit with a green tweed waistcoat and jacket worn over a white shirt and trousers with a pair of over the knee brown boots.

She completed her ensemble with a forest green hat with a feather in the brim.

British jockey and former cyclist Victoria Pendleton, 38, was also in attendance today at the racecourse.

The sportswoman looked chic and sophisticated in a grey check suit teamed with a roll-neck top and a navy blue hat.

Also braving the rain, was TV presenter Carol Vorderman, 58, who showcased her waist in curve-hugging white outfit.
