Star Wars 9 leaks HUGE 'Skywalker' clue about Rey's parents and it's NOT what you expect

Fans are still waiting for the first trailer as well as the Episode IX title. But now that filming has officially wrapped, there are more and more tantalising pieces of information emerging as the cast start to talk about what to expect. One of the biggest questions remains the issue of Rey’s parents and whether or not Kylo Ren was lying when he said she was a complete “nobody.” Many fans were unhappy with this Last Jedi revelation, convinced she has to be linked to a legacy bloodline, most likely a Skywalker. Isaacs just gave an absolutely massive clue.

The Poe Dameron actor ramped up the Star Wars excitement on the Today talk show in the US and may have accidentally let slip a mammoth piece of information.

He said: “It is the end of the entire Skywalker saga. Nine stories. This is the culmination of the entire thing.

“What JJ has done, and the entire Lucasfilm team, is gonna be incredibly fulfilling. It’s also special for us because you get to learn a lot more things about these characters.”

It sounds like the usual on-message publicity stunt, until it is put aside a major revelation made by Lucasfilm boss Kathleen Kennedy and then everything changes.

Kennedy had been talking about what will come after Episode IX. She revealed the characters she expects to feature at the forefront of the next ten years of Star Wars movies following Episode 9.

Kennedy said: “We’re sitting down now and we’re talking about the next ten years of Star Wars and we’re looking at narratively where that might go. Future stories beyond Episode 9 with these new characters, Rey, Poe, Finn, BB8… The possibilities are endless.”

If Star Wars 9 ends the Skywalker saga but Rey is expected to feature in more films, there is only one conclusion.

DISNEY SHAREHOLDER MEETING SCREENS STAR WARS 9 SCENES – FULL DESCRIPTION

It seems Rey is not a Skywalker. It also sounds a little ominous for Kylo Ren, and many fans suspect he will not survive the ninth film.

Of course, many Lucasfilm plans were suddenly thrown in the air after the unexpected Last Jedi backlash and shocking Solo box office disaster and the expected future projects from Rian Johnson and the Game of Thrones team do not include the current characters at all.

It seems Lucasfilm is ready to wrap up the Skywalkers and move on. Many fans will embrace the exciting new possibilities, others will see it as the final nail Disney has banged into their beloved forty-year saga.
