'Melania would be more loved than Jackie O if I were a Democrat' claims President Trump

The US President said she would be twenty times the person Jackie O was in an interview. He told Breitbart: “If Ivanka Trump were a Democrat or a liberal democrat, even better, she’d be the toast of the world. Same thing with our great First Lady, who people love by the way. If I were a Democrat instead of a Republican, she’d be Jackie O times twenty.

“Instead, they go after her.”

Jackie O was the wife of President John F Kennedy whose real name was Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

She became a huge celebrity and fashion icon in the US when she was First Lady.

Trump’s comments follow a Fake Melania conspiracy trend on Twitter which alleged a stranger impersonated his wife.

The theory came to light when social media users believed Melania did not visit people affected by tornadoes in Alabama and instead used a body double to stand in for her.

Trump hit out at the claims on Twitter yesterday.

He said: “The Fake News photoshopped pictures of Melania, then propelled conspiracy theories that it’s actually not her by my side in Alabama and other places.

“They are only getting more deranged with time.”

US TV show, The View, fuelled the theory when they held a segment on the conspiracy.

A spokeswoman for Melania tore into the hosts for mocking the First Lady.

Stephanie Grisham said: “The first lady and the president travelled to Alabama to pay their respects and comfort victims of the tornado devastation.

“In typical fashion, The View chooses to laugh in the face of tragedy. Shameful.”

Trump also told Breitbart: “The tornadoes were horrible, but she wanted to go, and I said, ‘Good, let’s go.’

“We went to Alabama and from the aeroplane to the site where the tornado was, there were people lined up five deep. You saw the pictures.”
